Overview

Sezzle lets users pay for purchases across installments.

Sezzle lets shoppers split purchases into multiple interest-free payments. For example, a $100 purchase breaks into $25 paid at checkout, then $25 paid every two weeks. Users can also choose to pay off installments early, on their own schedule.

Background

Early payments were slow and repetitive.

Previously, paying off installments early required users to submit each one individually. Every payment triggered its own transaction and email, resulting in repetitive effort and excessive communication.

Problem

Users looking to pay installments early must submit each payment individually, slowing them down and creating operational inefficiencies for Sezzle.

We need a unified payment process that allows users to pay multiple early payments at once, reducing user friction and lowering business costs.

Solution

One simple flow for early payments

We introduced bundled payments, a faster and more intuitive way to pay off multiple installments at once. Whether paying one or multiple, the experience is fast, unified, and productive.

Flexible payment selection

Shoppers can select as many installments as they’d like to pay early. The cascading selection design ensures payments are completed in proper order.

Unified payment review

All selected payments appear on a single review screen, so users can review totals and update payment methods before proceeding.

One confirmation and you’re done

Once confirmed, the bundled payments submit as a single transaction. One email, one charge, one smooth experience for both the shopper and the system.

Impact

Double-digit adoption from day one

Within days of launch nearly 1 in 6 payments were bundled, proving user demand for a faster experience and saving Sezzle thousands per week in processing and communication costs.
